It would always be wise to get multiple views about a given subject. I'm at a cross road with my new baby girl. The very first vaccination BCG, in the hopes of being able to fight tuberculous infection in her early years.

In 'The Truth About Vaccines - Making the right decision for your child' by Dr Richard Halvorsen
Get a copy quick, hard to get hold of.

So as I was saying, Being 100% Indian and living in Newham (London UK), and planning to visit India next year with her. The risks of my baby contracting Tuberculous drastically increase compared to a baby living outside of London, not of Indian origin and never planning to visit India.

My wife and are still back and forth about the this one. As my baby is more likely to contract Tuberculous in Newham (London) then India. strange but true.

We asked the health care professional to provide information of the BCG vaccine they plan to administer.

In the end, I just want to be able to make an informed decision. My advice is you do the same in health matters.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04756278809081188735noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413477590707206642.post-44271655311319159462013-04-28T10:54:00.001-07:002013-04-28T10:56:04.923-07:00Oud oil, an aquired taste
The unique fragrance is popular amongst east and far east cultures. The resin laden wood chips when placed on hot coals unleash bliss in there smokey release. The same wood chips can be put through a distillation process to produce oil. This right here is some of India's finest.
I brought some on my trip to India back in September 2012.

A few years back I was extremely tired all the time. After a number of blood tests and an ultrasound on my kidneys the doctors had no real answer for me. Until a passing conversation with a friend , who happened to mention it to their homoeopath stated I had Candida. Now part of the treatment is well basically going on a diet pretty much identical to the Atkins/ low to no carb diet.

My wife even tried this diet while I was away for two weeks and I came back to a Limitless version of my wife.

So I feel it's that time again in my life. As I've been through this once before I'll prep well. So I'll need the following.

Replace it with a beneficial one.

No more sheesha or paan (chewing tobacco) for me. That doesn't mean I never touch the stuff. I've left it as a regular on going part of my life. But have not forbidden myself from it. So not on my home. But if once in a blue moon its fine.

I came to understand somthing about my self. I enjoy the ritual of packing the sheesha, preparing the coal etc. Same with the paan. So I had to replace it with a different ritual.

Now I make tea. Green tea, white tea etc. The ritual is simple boil water, add to awesome cup. Leave for 10 sec, add diffuser with loose leaves. Wait 3min and remove diffuser.

I use the same set of leaves another two times.

Along with Nakhlah banana flavour. I've been smoking the molasses soaked tobacco every night ever since. Well when I've been at home or had access to it.

Previous attempts to quit didn't work. I would relapse after a few days. Even after removing the sheesha and all related items I would again purchase the lot again.

This time I planned well. I was away in India for 2 months. Before I left I got rid of the sheesha and all related items. I now also understand it is the ritual of preparing the sheesha which I also enjoy.

Solution to replace the habit of preparing and smoking sheesha after my evening meal. With preparing a paan.

Now it's still a bad habit. But after the paan I shall switch to preparing and enjoying a fruit tea or green tea if not to late.

The key for me is to replace the ritual of preparation.

I'll keep you posted on how this works.

Note: I will no longer have sheesha in my home. I will not part money or services in exchange for it. But if at a friends home he offers, then I'll partake a little.

Now I always bring a healthy home cooked packed lunch. And try and have this around 12:30 but I just need somthing around 15:00 ish. So today along with my usual fruit snack I packed a little container full of almonds, pistachios, walnuts, cashews and dried figs.

That container is now locked in my draw.

So far so good. Not felt any nausea and the head fog of the first two or three days has decreased drastically. I take a good dose of Psyllium husk after breakfast to help keep me regulaer and in the hopes of clearing my bowls of any die off from any fungual, virul or parasites.

<span style="font-family: "Arial", "sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;">The Psyllium husk addition helped greatly as in the first few days of being on MMS I wasn't as regular in the bowl movement department as I normally am.

<span style="font-family: "Arial", "sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;">I'm in two minds to use a quality probiotic at night or to leave this until I start to come off the MMS. For now I'll just use the MMS and Psyllium husk. I'll be upping the doasge to about 1.5 to 2 drops per hour for this week.
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04756278809081188735noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413477590707206642.post-82179679002465374492012-03-19T04:12:00.000-07:002012-03-19T04:12:21.756-07:00Back on MMS

<span style="font-family: "Arial", "sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;">I've been feeling rough the last few weeks, and it's peaked at a nasty cold I've had since Friday. So this morning I'm back on the MMS. I've mixed up a 800ml shaker with 8 drops of MMS. filled it to the top with filtered water. I drink 100ml every hour. The plan is to stay at this dose for a week and review how I'm feeling.

<span style="font-family: "Arial", "sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;">After my very first dose I experienced the same feeling I had the last time I took this solution. Something similar to a minimise explosion just under the surface of my skin (left forearm). Not painful at all, just a very unique feeling. I'm assuming the MMS is destroying some single cell life form close to the skin, which allows me to feel it.

<span style="font-family: "Arial", "sans-serif"; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi;">Slow and steady this time round. Projectile vomiting was a horrible experience last time.

I also will be touching on the subject of smells (aromatherepy). we've all experinced a time when a wif of somthing (a particular perfume or baking apples) to have our minds rush back to a memory/ a moment of our life linked to such a smell.

For me it is my experience with Oud (more here). I was first was exposed to this strange oil about 15 years ago. It was dabbed onto the back of my hand by J.B and as I rubbed it into my skin it smelled to me of damp leather. I found it of horrid, but as I attempted to rub it off my hands the musky smell opened and I had fallen for it head over heels.

Every time I smell it on some one I pause and smile. I've got some at home and use it on teh odd occasion. My wife is not keen of it. She states it smells like cow manure.

To conclude, find the smells which make you happy, and use those smells to make you happy again.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04756278809081188735noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413477590707206642.post-78013218405199313602011-09-05T11:19:00.001-07:002011-09-05T11:20:09.205-07:00Projectile vomiting on MMS

So I pushed the dosage to far to quick. When the swelling in my shoulder area had subsided I noticed my collar bone being out of place. I went to see a physiotherapist who recommended massage as a means of pain relief but stated surgery would be needed to correct the problem. I wasn't happy with the answer and decided to visit a chiropractor/ osteopath (can't remember which).

At my first visit he examined my shoulder and collar bone. After some vigorous massage he just popped the displaced bone back into place. I was in awe at the instant non invasive cure.

One of the first things I was taught was how to skip like a fighter and not how a little girls skips in the play ground. This is how Winston the head coach for the juniors had described my first attempts. Where am I going with this trip down memory lane? Skipping is easy. Easy to learn and easy to do. A speed rope will cost you about £3 delivered to your door. All you need is a little space and to make thing interesting sight of a clock.

Currently I try and get at least one 30 minute session (5x 5 min rounds with 1 min intervals for breaks) in as I'm leaving work in the car park. Then wrap up and get on my bike to get home.

Here's a Vid of Ross showing us how it's done
Through work I was referred to counseling. In one of these sessions I admitted to being angry with all the injustices I see around me. In response my councilor asked me 'what good does it do you, being angry at the whole world?' I couldn't answer the question. After this session I stumbled upon the following video on you tube.

After this I've decided to accept, forgive and love in my life. With this new outlook and change in lifestyle some very positive things have occurred. Holding onto anger has a very similar negative effect on heath, as high cortisol levels do. More on these positive outcomes in my next installment.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04756278809081188735noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413477590707206642.post-32988245589713571942010-04-14T12:42:00.000-07:002010-11-27T04:57:35.612-08:00Green Tea, the super beverage.

I’m an out and out caffeine junkie. From triple espresso to ridiculously big lattes I love me a good coffee. Along with iced coffees, cola’s and energy drinks. I even have gurana in powder form which I’d add to my pre work out shakes. And right next to my bed is a plastic bottle filled with caffeine capsules at a whopping 200mg a pop (Proplus only packs a measly 50mg per tab). I set my alarm clock an hour before I need to be up and down one of these. Not really a morning person me. Well after many years of heavy caffeine usage, my sleep pattern is wrecked and I’m not to keen on the increase in cloistral levels. I researched away and came to the conclusion of switching to green tea. It’s way lower in caffeine content, high in anti oxidants (helps decrease muscle soreness after heavy work outs) and a great teromogenic. I even found a green tea with a lower then normal caffeine content. I just mix a small spoon full in a shaker with warm water some times ice water after each meal.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04756278809081188735noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413477590707206642.post-44325127879281725582010-04-03T09:48:00.000-07:002010-11-14T16:27:33.028-08:00Badshah's message to MathematistAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04756278809081188735noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413477590707206642.post-8567479274108879682009-10-11T12:39:00.000-07:002010-11-14T16:27:33.029-08:00HMR HIIT (Horse Manure Relocation High Intensity Interval Training)
Just like many others who part take in any amateur competitive sport. I have limited time to put towards training, more so for conditioning. As it’s not as enjoyable as the skills based training sessions. Also requires a higher level of motivation as seldom is it done in a group environment. My personal solution was to combine some manual labour required on my allotment plot and some HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

This is how HMR HIIT was invented. It allowed me to stock up on the horse manure just outside the allotment site and place it on my own plot. Armed with a wheel barrow and spade I jog to the manure site load up the wheel barrow and jog back pushing the loaded barrow. Tip out the barrow on my plot and hand over the barrow and spade to my brother who’d then do the same while I jog in front to ensure the narrow path way is free from by passers. After thirty minutes of this we relocate six wheel barrows full of manure. Great work out.

This morning we knocked up the first bed and the horse manure was shoveled on.

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04756278809081188735noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2413477590707206642.post-80355896756267807412009-09-14T16:14:00.000-07:002010-11-14T16:27:33.032-08:00Getting about townCycling to work has been my main form of transport for about five years.
